Default Major flashing flooding occuring accross KY

Rain amounts up to 6 inches today have caused massive flash flooding across the state. Much of the old city limits of Louisville has major flooding in low lying areas. Several towns in Eastern KY (Stanton & Mount Sterling) are also inundated with flood waters.

Here are some public photos of flooding in Louisville from the CJ

Oh my! Thats terrible.

I saw some footage on TWC of people driving.... why do people think they can drive through 4 feet of water without stalling or floating away?

It showed someone in a white Ford Expedition floating away (after they deliberately drove into deep water), then someone in a 1980s Volvo sedan with water 1/2 way up the doors driving down the road until the car stalled. Strange.

Prayers go out to everyone affected. Is the water going down at all? I am not even in Dayton/Cincinnati so I have no clue. I know Cincinnati got a lot of rain, but I don't think its that bad. I am in Akron/Canton for the PGA tour at Bridgestone.

The flooding only lasted a few hours in my neighborhood and as far as I know, no major damage. I did try to catch a crawdad in the middle of the street though lol

Because they are idiots! Some look at the water and say I can get through that! I know how to drive! Then there are some who look up from their cell phone or make up and it's too late to stop. I say that about the make up because I've seen plenty of that done in the 26 years of flagging traffic.
