Default Fort Knox area apartments

I am an HRC-St. Louis employee BRACing to Fort Knox next Summer. It will be just me and my 13 year old son. I found the Luxury Apartments online called Claysville Landing. I hope to make the trip and see what these apartments are like for real. They look really nice and love all the activities surronding them.

Is there any new apartments like this that is closer to the Fort Knox area? Also Seen what is Called a "patio home" are these rented as well, is the outside maintained as well. I have a disability and also have not found many apartments to rent that accepts small to medium size dogs. I have two Cookapoo pups.

Well there is a new condo complex that is built on a golf course that is pretty new and nice. I can't remember it's name but check there if anyone is renting their condo out.

If you are talking patio homes or townhomes as we call them on the east coast. There are some in Radcliff and E-town that are realtively new and the outside looks good.

Have you checked the Elizabethtown apartments ? Their are lots of Fort Knox workers who live in E-town too , not to far of a drive. Radcliff is closer but you might have more choices in E-town and with the dogs too. I live in the rural area but if I can help more I will.

Default Condo's around Fort Knox

Apartments/condo's are very different around the Fort Knox area versus many major metropolitan areas. I have seen 'condo's around this area that are really only small apartments - I guess it's one way for them to try and market the places.

I have friends that live throughout this area and I can tell you that most of the apartments in Radcliff and Muldraugh would not fit your bill - someplace nice and someplace you might want to call home. I really don't know of the apartments in Elizabethtown, but I know they look much nicer than what you will find in the Radcliff area.

Another area to consider that has condo's is Doe Valley. Doe Valley is located about 7.5 miles from the Brandenburg Gate of Fort Knox and is in Meade county. It is a gated lakeside community and on the west end, they have condo's (there are also some more established ones near the golf course). We initially rented a home here because it was very quiet and peaceful. Doe Valley does have a golf course (we don't golf and it is a separate fee to join). However, open to all residents are two beaches (one on each side of the lake - they brought sand in), tennis courts, a club house (which has buffet's on Wed and serves normal meals on other days), snack bar, swimming pool, and camping area. Meade County has a good school system and is pretty safe for the kids. We now bought a home in Doe Valley and wouldn't consider moving from this area (not crammed as most neighborhoods are). You can find some info on this are at Home

Welcome to the Knox area!

If you dont mind a 15-30 minute commute, there are some rural areas that you can rent a home, at not much more than an apt. and not have to worry about the dogs.
