You miss the point. As a matter of fact, he started out as a "working man" and now he IS the CEO. He still works and works hard.

I really hope that ain't true. The main reason why i'm taking a employment risk in moving to KY is to get away from the greed that is in the general NoVA/MD suburb area.

Oh it is true alright. The property taxes keep going up and the roads keep getting worse among other things. Ours are over 3000.00 per year on a condo no less. Annapolis tried to charge everyone in town a "sidewalk tax" this year. When I got my letter from the City, I sent it right back with a note for them to take a flying leap. They must have gotten several of them because it got nipped in the bud really quick. Small quaint businesses that have been around for 20-30 years are now going out of business because they can no longer afford to pay 4 and 5 thousand a month rent on their stores. But we got a GAP Store. NoVA is just as bad. We have some friends there that pay almost 10K a year in property taxes. If we were not retiring, hubby would take the risk as well even if it meant taking a lower paying job. If you can find a good job in KY, I think you would be doing yourself a favor.

Mark Twain is reported to have said that "when the end of the world comes I want to be in Kentucky, because there it will come 20 years later."

Found this quote at a Kentucky genealogy site,

I lived in NoVA from 1991 to 1996 (McLean, Falls Church, Fairfax, and Chantilly; looked for cheaper rent each time I moved.)
