Default Transferring to Blue Grass Army Depot

Transferring to Blue Grass Army Depot

We want to live in a rural area, not a city. Are Jackson, Rockcastle, Estill
counties a better bet than Madison county?

Where you are working - Transferring to Blue Grass Army Depot (BGAD)

How much you are willing to spend on housing - Up to $150,000

How long of a commute you're willing to tolerate - About 30-45 minutes.

If you have kids: Private school or public school? - Doesn't matter, we Homeschool.

What type of neighborhood environment you are looking for: Rural, want at least 2 acres, preferably more for garden, chickens, maybe other livestock.

Community amenities important to you - Library, would like DSL high speed internet.

TIA,

Howitzer

I don't think there is a reason to avoid Madison County. If you do think 80,000 people is too many in one county I'd take Garrard County over Jackson or Estill any day

censusdata,

Well, I thought that I might get a nicer place for the same money not being around large cities like Richmond or Berea.

SFLWR,

I like a number of kinds of cake and pie. Let's see. For cake, chocolate, spice, or lemon. For pie, my favorite is lemon meringue, then apple.

There is a great neighborhood very close to the interstate and a straight 4 miles shot to the depot. Its called the Banyans at Golden Leaf. They are new built, green homes that are outside city limits so you avoid those taxes. We liked them alot. My husband and i are coming off active duty and moving back to Richmond. My husband is hope to find a job at the depot. My email is madeline.everitt@gmail.com if you would like some to interesting things about Richmond. I grew up in Lexington, but my parents moved out to Richmond about 10 years ago. My brother and sister bothe went to Kingston Elementry and my mom was very impressed with it. Any questions let me know!
Madeline
