Default Hello, new and wanting to move to Kentucky

I am currently in Ohio, and have lived here all my life, and am sick if it, lol.

Been researching Kentucky, which is how I found this website.

I have been looking over more southern Kentucky to southeast Kentucky, looking at Perry county right now, and didn't think much of it till reading posts here, is it a dry county?

How is the weather? Average snowfall, average temp?

Thanks.

You can take my place. I can't wait to leave this Southern-by-declaration-but-deep-down-doesn't-know-what-it-truly-is, UK-cheering-nutty-fan-base type'a state where its government is tremendously biased toward very poor rural counties with undereducated populations and disrespectful to its most productive economic and/or tax engines. (...and you think Ohio's bad.)

I humbly and honestly suggest Tennessee, Texas, or even Alabama. I myself hope to move to Texas or California in the next 12-24 months; I'm not a miserable or mean person but my personal list of cons outweigh the pros tremendously when it comes to living in my native state.

Wow. Well so far, haven't found any cons. Husband has lived in California, didn't like it, too expensive. Texas, not an option. Tenn. no, Alabama, thought about it but no. Kentucky is still close enough to Ohio seeing as though we will still have family living here.

We are set on Kentucky, but thanks for your opinions.

Now if somebody would like to voice any opinions that I can actually use I would greatly appreciate it.

Also what kind of pet stores are in the Perry county area? I am looking and researching that county first, then will move on.

Thanks again.

Well hopefully you'll see we have a "sense of humor " here in KY ...I really like KY, I think it's a beautiful state and the people for the most part are friendly . Sorry, I've never been to Perry Co. but welcome to KY anyways.

and yes, Tom...tongue in cheek, tongue in cheek
