Yes, if Kentuckians say they are even moderate fans and aren't excited about this year's team, there is something wrong.

Seems the buzz on the national sports shows isn't if KY is worthy of the #1 ranking, but debating whether they will go the entire season undefeated.

I was at the game tonight, GREAT showing by the team. Being up by 46 points at one point before we swapped for our most famous bench players :P

Congratulations! For a state that usually scores in the lower 10% of non-important issues (to Kintuckians) like education and medical, it's good to know you have something to be prowd of. We all know that winning basketball championships is very beneficial to everyone. Congratulations!
Also, Kintucky leads the nation in children's deaths from abuse. Also cancer deaths! Congratulations!
Nr 1!

And not having great basketball teams would remedy both child abuse and cancer...how? There is no apparent correlation and you are the unintelligent one to think there is. That is me grinning and look...I have all of my teeth and if you could see my feet, I even have shoes on.

Also, Texas has the highest number of deaths from child abuse. Of course, they do have a very good basketball team this year also. Hmmm, does this need to be a study? Good basketball makes people abuse their children? Never thought of it before.

Not really.
I think there are more important things in life than basketball, but I didn't grow up in Kentucky.
