You must be from my neck of the woods. You just described my drive to work. LOL. Did you mention "Regina". yeah, I have to spell that one a couple of times when I'm ordering something over the phone.

I live close to Beauty and Lovely (and Beauty is definitely not a good name for it). We also have Turkey Creek, Lick Branch, Coldwater, Pigeon Roost, Tomahawk, Grassy, Pilgrim. Oh, and Warfield is between Beauty and Lovely.
We also have a Petercave and Meathouse.
I'm sure there's more, but I can't think of them right now.

I drive to Whitesburg periodically for business, and I always get a good laugh when I pass the sign for "Flat Mary" and an arrow pointing to the right. I don't know for certain if that's the name of a town, or the home of a really under-endowed woman named Mary. Either way, it's always good for a chuckle.

** Reviving Old Thread**

some of these town names in Kentucky give me a laugh!!( No offense)

here are a few I know of

Board Tree
Jamboree
Beaver Bottom
Black Snake
Honeybee

Now this one I was told by my Grandfather who was born and raised in Grayson(now lives in Indiana just like me). There is supposedly a town or area near Grayson called the "N" word followed by Galiss. I dont know if this is true or not. but it supposedly got its name from a black male that was hung there by his Galiss sometime in the early 1900's.

Versailles is pronounced "ver-SALES" not "ver-SIGH"
Athens is "A-thens" (long "A" sound)
Marrowbone is "MAR-bone"
Cairo is "KAY-row" like Karo syrup
Slade is "SLAY-dee"
Hollow is always "HALL-er." Sometimes it is actually spelled holler
So Loretta Lynn is from Butcher Hollow but it is pronounced Butcher Holler.

So if you are traveling to KY, don't ask for directions to Versailles if you pronounce it like the city in France. No one will have a clue what you're talking about.

Anyone else know of others?
Yeah, those typically cause people a double take.

And let's not forget how most or the majority of Kentucky pronounces Louisville as "Loo-uh-vuhl" or "Luh-vuhl." Perfectly normal to people who say it that way, oftentimes goofy to others.
