Somewhat surprising, I'm interested in seeing the 2010 Census results when it comes out next year.

Anyone that has driven around Lexington during rush hour can attest that the population is indeed growing there. Congrats (if that's the right salutation) to Lexington.

These ALL seem about right to me, except for Christian Co. Not to say that it isn't an appropriate estimate, but it does surprise me. Maybe people are moving to Oak Grove and working jobs at Ft. Campbell and Clarksville, TN, because I can assure that Hopkinsville isn't anything to brag about.

^ Until 2006 census estimates showed Christian Co losing population. CC appealed and ever since estimates have showed them gaining.
They also are redoing Fayette Co's estimates almost every year. This year's estimate was 17,000 higher than last year and 28,000 higher than 2 years ago - however the new annual estimates (they redid the original estimates) are showing steady growth year to year, not a recent spurt. Go figure.
Nationally it's interesting several cities that had lost huge amounts of population (St Louis & Cincinnati) are growing now.
