I submitted a comment many months ago about the Fort Henry Mall to deadmalls.com. It looks like as though they did some research and added my comment to the site as well as added the mall to a list of dead/dying malls across the US.

I think it's a bit premature. In my opinion--although it seems like a certain fate--Ft Henry Mall is not yet a "dead mall" until 1 of the main anchor stores goes out and it sits vacant. That has not happened yet--at least when I was there in April of this year all main anchor stores were still there--Sears, Belk, and JCPenny. Although, didn't the Belk homestore near the theaters go out of business?? Even though, aren't there rumors that the theaters could expand into this space?? That would save it, or buy some time.

Yes, Belks has downsized into one store. Dollar Tree went out of business in July as well and moved to the Pavilion. As far as the former Belks home store there have been rumors of what it will become and that was one of them but none have turned out to be true yet.
