Considering a move back to Kingsport...cannot remember how our utility bills used to run...for say a 2500 sq ft house, what on average can I expect to pay for my electricity......thanks!

Hi, just figured with a friend of mine that lives in Kingsport and figured her sq ft verse your sq ft and her electric bill and we came up with around $125 a month for an average.
Hope that helps.

the residential electricity rate...
in Kingsport is still among the lowest in the nation at just over 6 cents per kWh, vs. the national average of about 9 cents.

I live in an all electric home (heat and AC) that is around 3000-3500 sq ft. My electric bill is running around $130 on a yearly budget plan. Most sections of the region have TVA power but Kingsport and some of the surrounding suburban areas are on the AEP system. I am on AEP so it's not just TVA that has reasonable power cost. The Climate helps as well...not too hot and not too cold.

I would say closer to $180 ish in JC. The electric rate does seem a bit higher in JC but the property taxes are lower in JC than Kingsport so I guess it evens out a bit if you look at it that way.
Thanks as always kpt. I did not not know about the AEP (what does that stand for by the way?) good info.
