I don't know about their baseball team, but Sullivan South is a good county school.

Sullivan South has a very good baseball team, so does Daniel Boone but that is in Washington. I think Volunteer High had a good team the past few years. They are in Hawkins County but close to Kingsport.

I don't know if you are interested in Knox County, Bearden High, but my gf's son graduated from there (and MTSU) and now plays professional baseball for the Florida Marlins.

Oh my gosh!! Then people wonder what happened to their kids ACADEMIC EDUCATION> I am saddened that you have to seek a school for a "good team". This is why we as americans, need to start with the "very young" and start introducing other worldly things into their education. They are going to have to play catch up fast....they will not have time for sports during school hours. So, therefore, the communities need to pay for their own sports for every child to play and get the feeling that they do count, in their communitiy and others' communities. It only makes sense to me that if the ones that do get to play, is the reason for not "dropping out" then why wouldn't we as Americans see to it that every child got the oppurtunity to be up off of a couch or off a street somewhere, where nobody knows their name, etc..... the same stucture?? I don't know if the non sports kids parents realize, they are footing the bill for school sports and the program that dictates to us , how many of our children can PLAY> it is sad that we have American Educators who hold their name and sports on a pedastal. That is exactly why we can't brag about our ACADEMICS. We are too busy playing. I am just callin it like I see it.

I am a sports mom of 10 years. I have a baseball, basketball, football and track medal and trophy winner myself. So understand me when I say, Let them ALL PLAY!! I love sports! Let us come together as a community and get to know who is around us and who all these children are, even if some don't play and just want to hang out with the community and be a part of something, together.

Maybe, that would help you to not have to move just for sports. You could have more say so and be a part of it. We need to take the coaches out of the ACADEMIC classrooms. It is very intimidating to children that, who ever, has deemed them not worthy of PLAYING, to have to sit and look and listen to them, knowing , that this person is a coach, how much does he really care if I, an average student but not quite up to par for who ever, care about a nobody like me (cause I'm not on A team).? You go to your school and ask the kids how many of them really want to play?? Just do not be surprised when they All raise their hand.

Not to mention the fact that it might be a good crime watch booster. Know who is around you.

Well, I hope you find what you are looking for.

LIVE LAUGH AND LOVE

p.s. I am in a rural, farming area. My child has been at the same county school for 13 years. He has been through 2 different consolidations. His freshman year we consolidated with one other very small rural town school, then as a junior, we consolidated again, with an other very small rural town. It hasn't been that pleasant. Not that I should complain. Every body loves my child. No matter what he does, the people just are not turned off by him. He is a very humble, helpful, person. He has a very strong personality. He gets that from his mom. thank you~ No, but seriously. My child had the oppurtunity to get to know his community through sports. His personal stats will cover him anywhere he wants to go and try, to go and prove himself. It did not take that ACADEMIC EDUCATION to do that> He can do that, with or without the school telling him he can or not. Ya never know where you will find a star!!* Let them all play, is what I say. Let them all as American children Play. The colleges will scout these children where ever they have to, in order to keep theirs going, so don't worry about the scholarship being missed out on.They will, go where they need to, to scout. Not to mention the fact that, it is the college handing out the scholarship, not the high schools. Yes, the colleges need the ACADEMIC excuse, but that is all it is, imo. Would't it be awesome if they could have the oppurtunity to pull out 20 kids, instead of just 5?? I mean, compare 300 to 3.

But there again, Let us Educate our children while they play.
