Hi - I"m looking right now to make the decision to move to JC area - also from Illinois - Palatine. I have two young boys - one special needs - ADHD the other is just a 9 year old kid with a little ADD. Looking at LabConnect..anyone have any ideas on an area for special needs kid for school?? JC Education said the two schools for him would be Woodland and freemont - one was east side one was west side.?

Any advice on where to live to be close to school and/or work would be great.

Single parent so need advice on babysitters, childcare and the like. especially for a S.E. kid. He's really just hyper and has a few odd ticks but otherwise regular as rain!

Both schools are good and ~15 minutes from LabConnect.

Where you want to live will depend on your budget and some other factors - rent/buy/space/etc?

I realize you posted like 4/2012, you did accept the job offer in Eastman and still working there? I am contemplating now on BAE and/or Eastman. Seen several jobs that I've applied to.
I'm currently living bay area, Palo Alto/MV.

Did you say you find JC nice or Kingsport? I got alittel lost between the lines of both cities. I see the company is located in Kingsport.
Thanks for your help.

Langstaf, I'm curious how your move went? We are looking to move to JC area this fall. We would love to have some land for our kids to run around on. We have three boys. 10, 8 and 4. We homeschool as of now so the schools aren't a huge deal breaker on area. What area would you suggest now that touve been there for some time? We are coming from the DC area, prior to tgat we were outside of LA

Hi,

Langstaf hasn't logged back in since 2013. Perhaps they will see your post but if they don't respond you will know that they haven't been active in a long time.

Best.
