Kingsport, TN via Dr. Christensen's hands to my mothers arms.

I have toured the country and the world, lived in several different places and thankfully, have returned home. This place has my heart.

Smoky, that tells a lot...traveling the world, yet returning to the "womb" where you were born. I wasn't born there, but already it has my heart too, sistah.

Hi Everyone! I just discovered this site today. I grew up in Tallahassee, FL (go Seminoles!!) but East Tennessee is home now. I've lived in GA and SC and travelled all over this beautiful country, but nothing has pulled at my heart like TriCities. I can't imagine ever moving back to the heat, humidity and hurricanes that are Florida. In fact, my family all want to move up here!

I'm a die hard Gator now living in East Tennessee. I knew I would be overrun with Vols, but I thought I was through dealing with Seminoles. It is always good to have another Floridiot up here though.

Sorry Williboy, there are a lot of us Noles up here!!

Mbmouse, we moved to Piney Flats in 1997 from Florence, SC. While living in SC I always thought of FL as home and wanted to move back. But once we moved here, I never thought of moving to FL again! It quickly became home. My husband transferred to the metro Atlanta area in 2001 and we lived there for four long years before moving back "home" in 2005. I told him that he can transfer anywhere he wants to go, I'll be waiting for him in TN! What's not to love? The people are still friendly, the scenery is beautiful and the weather is great. Just a quick trip home to Tallahassee reminds me of what I love about living here!

I'm From Westchester County New York, Just North Of New York City. Johnson City Reminds Me Of What Southern Westchester Was 30 To 40 Years Ago Before Nyc Spread North And Ruined It. We Are Due To Move To Johnson City Within The Month And I Cant Wait To Get There.

You'll love it. We've been here a month now and I'm wondering why we didn't do this a long time ago.
