We live in Telford and go into Greeneville all the time. It is a lovely town with probably the nicest high school around plus some of the prettiest mountain views.

I have been absent from this board for a few months and have just returned. Glad to see that mbmouse is still sharing her knowledge with everyone. She is a great resource. Have lived in ugly Orlando for almost 30 years now but the market is so depressed, we may be here a little longer. Starting to web surf real estate again zeroing in around Rogersville, Telford, etc.

Nice to have ya back Breucklyn. Sorry to hear things are still bad market wise in Orlando but when it does happen for ya, you are looking in very nice areas.

Hello everyone!

I am originally from the Jersey City, New Jersey area (talk about aweful smells...wow!). We were stationed in Delaware for a few years then finally ended up in Central Florida where we are currently. Can't wait to get up there, just a bit concerned about the "industry smells" now for health reasons. I think I'd rather deal with that over the heat, crime, rudeness of residents, humidity, heat, rediculous prices, heat and did I mention heat?! lol

Hi,
I'm not from outside the U.S., but new to this forum (guess you could say I'm a "forumer" - ok, that was ba-a-d! )

Here's my background: born in GA, raised in NW OH and lived there until age 25, moved to Charleston, SC and have been here for almost 25 years, bought land in Scott County, outside of Mendota, in between Bristol and Hiltons and plan to build there and retire there in about 7 years. I have a lot of family all over Washington, Wise, Buchanon, and Dickson Counties so I look forward to being near all of them (my dad's from there).

Jonesborough is a cute, quaint town as is Abingdon. If I decide to sell my land and move into town, it would be one of those 2.

SW VA & Eastern TN is beautiful country with warm, friendly people...I look forward to moving up there in a few years.

I live in a little bitty one horse town in west Tennessee and I am seriously and actively working on relocating to east Tennessee to the tri-cities area. I have my husband and my (extended) family talked into moving, he has a favorable job transfer prospect, we've found a couple of churches that we are interested in checking out, so now all we've got to do is sell our house!
