On my visit to Bristol, a had a couple of dinners at the Martha Washington Inn in Albington (sp?) VA. The food was good and the atmosphere very relaxing.

The Bistro in Jonesborough. Small, upscale, and a little pricey, but great food and a lot of ambiance.

Here's the link to River's Edge Restaurant in Erwin...looks fantastic. A litle whitewater rafting, then a whole lotta food...now that's a great day trip. Long as you survive the whitewater and make it to the food part...

 There is a resteraunt on Watagua Lake called the Captians Table that has a nice view of the lake,but it is closed for the season as of this week. |

River's Edge is a neat place, pineywoods, or it was last time I went there, about four years ago. Very rustic interior, very good food!

The web site does not do the place justice. Take it from me it is awesome! The view is un-matched imho. I have eaten there several times. From BBQ to Ribs, Steaks to specials.... you cant go wrong.
almost forgot....live music on the weekends as well.....not to bad at all! |
