Johnson city here we come...
Hi MB,and all you other nice folks,
My family and I will finally leave Miami for good this coming Tuesday. Like I stated in my past posts the cost of living here is crazy. We are in our early 4o's and tired of what i call in the hamster wheel (working hard and getting no where). I want to thank MB mouse for all her advice and also the folks on this forum ..what a God send..now once more I need your help...Call us crazy, we did our research, and I did mail out some resumes to get work ,but nothing yet. Both my husband and I are Bi-lingual, we are fluent in Spanish and English. We are in need of work when we get there. My husband wants to get work locally or max 2 hours away... He has worked 15 years as a truck driver mostly (CDL class B) he is willing to try something new if necessary, and I wish to work part-time at a store or something to help out/ I home school my youngest.
I have looked in on the internet, but maybe you all know of something or someone.. Thanks God bless and keep us in your prayers.

An early welcome to TN!
I would suggest you go to the employment agencies such as Snelling, Randstad, At Work and such as soon as you get here, it might be temporary but it sounds like you should get employment fairly easily if he has a CDL and you are flexible.
Have a safe trip and enjoy the ride.

What do you mean by "store"? I imagine that Target is hiring (where I work! ) or will be shortly for Christmas.
Congrats and good luck on the move and everything that goes along with it. Moderator cut: sorry, English only allowed

While I was out shopping this weekend, I noticed ALOT of stores that are hiring (Old Navy, Books A-Million, and Micheals are the first ones that come to mind, but I think Bed Bath & Beyond was too). So, if it's retail that you are looking for, then you should be OK. I'm sure there are plenty of stores at the Mall that are hiring also. Most of these places have on-line applications now. You may want to try to look them up.

Have a safe trip and make sure you bring coats! It will be a shock to the system, as it is supposed to be COLD here this week. It was in the 70s today, but only in the 50s this week. :cold:.
The exit 7 I-81 area in Bristol is a good place to find a job now. That area is booming. TWO new shopping complexes going in, or are in. Best Buy is hiring now.

If your husband has any heating/air experience, I saw a help wanted sign yesterday at Advanced Heat Pumps. Their number is 926-2665.
