Default Apartments in Tri-Cities

Hi all, I'll be down your way in a week or so to look for an apartment. I've called maybe 20 different complexes, ads, real estate agents, etc. and it doesn't look too hopeful. My goodness, apartments are hard to find there. There's little available and you have to get on waiting lists. That sounds like NY, not TN.

I don't want to live near the colleges, for obvious reasons. I'm an older woman. I'm looking for a nice quiet area that's safe, all amenities and with somewhat larger rooms. One bedroom, two if one of the bedrooms is large enough to accommodate several pieces of furniture including a queen bed. Dining area is essential as I have table chairs and china cabinet that I can't part with. I have antiques - desk, vanity, and other pieces that I just can't let go of. The apartments I've checked on are so small!

Does anyone know of a safe, larger, and not too expensive (under $600) apt in any of the tri-cities? 6 month or year lease? Any help is greatly appreciated. I might be able to go a little higher on price if the place is just right. Thanks again.

Hi Peggy,
Not sure if you might have already looked at these but there are several apartment/town houses in North Gray, on ........shoot, I believe it is Old Gray Station Road, but not sure if that road changes names there. But there are several "for rent" signs out. It is a nice, low crime area.
If you take 26 to exit 13 (Gray) go east on Hwy 75 (main road through town) take a left at the Food City, go to the end of that Rd, take a right and they are along that RD.
Hope that helps some.
