Kingsport or JC to ever get an Apple store?

Checked out their site. Closest one to me is in NH. Not really the kind of store I frequent but looks like it would be good for the area.

I am anxiously waiting for the Tractor Supply store to open near me.

Apple prefers to stick to indoor malls but as of recently has built a few stores in smaller strip malls. I don't see it being at Kingsport Pavilion but perhaps on Eastman Road near Starbucks and right across from East Stone Commons where Reedy Creek Terrace is suppose to be. That just seems like a good Apple Store location to me when that center is completed.

Wait, a Talbot's is coming to Kingsport? Holy sh*t, that's major. They are known for locating in demographics that are wealthy to well-off. Very impressive. Retailers are starting to notice Kingsport. Major stuff. Cool.

Well, in a very *small* way. They do offer technical support, but the Apple (Mac) demographic is pretty much well-educated and has a high-income bracket. Gateway marketed itself to everyone owning a computer, for the most part (a Gateway computer). Apple has positioned itself in this "niche" market by offering "must-have", very high-tech, yet smooth looking computers, Iphones, and Ipods...it's strange, but when you walk into an Apple store, it's a very cool crowd.
One of the Apple stores in Manhattan has a "bar" allowing people to hang and work on their Macs while chatting it up and drinking coffee. I've not seen this in other Apple stores though.

I love my semioutdated PowerBook, but my guy just bought a Macbook and I know I'll be envious. Envious enough to buy a new one? I don't know... can't afford it... *sigh*

Sounds interesting, but I'm not a gadget person. My little old emachine suits me fine. I think my daughter would enjoy an Apple store.

Yes, Kingsport is getting a Talbot's. However the center that it's going to be in hasn't even started work on the building yet. So it will be quite some time before Talbots opens the Kingsport store.
