Default Reasonable Rent for 1 BR Apartments

Good day,

Could anyone tell me what I should expect in terms of rent for a 1 BR apartment within the Tri-Cities area? I am currently a student awaiting the chance to move out.

Apartments are extremely inexpensive here. You can find basic accomodations in a 1br/1ba for about 350/mo in Gray, Elizabethton, Erwin, and other slightly outlaying areas. Closer to town will cost a bit more, but not too much.

I have a 1000sf 2br/2ba that is quite nice and only pay 550.00 - the 1br/1ba models in my community are going for 450.00

Our 2/1 is 610 near downtown, so I'd expect to pay around $300-350 close to the university, maybe even a bit less out of town.

Thank you for your input. Does anyone else have any figures for the region?
