Are there any hard shell crab retailers and really good fresh seafood retail stores in the Tri-City area?
Thanks,
Don

Good question. I have not found any, and have been here 3 years

The lobster at Kroger is frozen, and I refuse to eat at low scale chains like Red Lobster. lol.

I asked one waitress if they served crabs and she said they did as long as the crabs did not offend the other diners.

You might try Riverfront in Kingsport. I've bought fresh shrimp there in the past. Don't remember if they sold crabs.

There is no such thing as fresh seafood in TN. TN does, however, have excellent steak resturants.

Default Try Riverfront Seafood Restaurant.

They get shipments daily, I believe--but not 100% sure. Their commercial says "we're obsessed with freshness!". It's a very nice restaurant and they have their own seperate fish market inside the restaurant.

I love their homemade tartar sauce and cocktail sauce !

I agree with Riverfront. You can also have stuff flown to you overnight via internet ordering.

I agree with the others. TN is a land locked state. "Fresh Seafood" can be an oxymoron if you are used to living by the sea shore and looking to move here.

Amen. When I visit my folks in Maryland I can't find a seafood eatery fast enough.
