Hello,
Not sure about some of those towns, it is quite a list that spans a large portion of the state so not really sure how to answer except that no where in TN will you get 6 inches of snow a year at one time. Maybe once every 5 or so years but some years we are lucky to get 1 inch. Unless you want to live up on Roan Mountain, then you won't get the rest on your list. Not sure of a place where you can rent a 3 bedroom anything under $600 and still get very low crime.
Sorry, guess I am not much help here.

ok then lets says forget the 6 inches of snow in a winter time, and the rent thing what can you tell me about the rest of them? i am trying to narrow the list down..we won't have time to see everyone of those towns... is the southern portion of eastern tn as mountainous as the northern part? that could help some. anything you can help with is much appreciated.

Have you researched the towns on your list? I only ask because you include Pigeon Forge and possibly the only place you will find more tourists is at Disney.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but were you saying 6 inches for the whole winter, right? That is not all that much, and you should get it on most of the towns, however, it wouldn't be at one time, obviously.

The Appalachians straddle the TN/NC line all the way, so yes, the southern part is as mountainous. The peaks aren't quite as high, but they are still 4,000+ feet.

The thing with your list is you could do a lot of them in one day. Greeneville, Tusculum, & Mosheim are all in Greene County and easy to get to (Tusculum is basically Greeneville).

My wife, my dog , and myself were cruising the Erwin area this afternoon. Lovely small town in the Valley Beautiful. We stopped and had hamburgers and milkshakes at The Dairy Ace. Well worth the 20 mile drive from Telford.

Maybe you could take a look around Kingsport or Johnson City, the out skirtish areas. You might be able to find some rents in those areas. How about work? Will you be needing to find work or are you bringing work with you (home based business)? We have great mountain views in the area and lots to do such as you asked for in each town.
