Public Transportation Tri City (Johnson City, Kingsport: home, bus, medical center)

I see kingsport and Johnson City both have a public bus service. Does the Johnson City service extend out to Elizabethton? Comments Appreciated.

Bristol has public bus services as well.. on both sides of the city.

I need to go from Abingdon, VA to Holston Valley Medical Center, Kingsport, TN for a procedure. I will be put to sleep for the procedure. Does anyone know if there is a transit bus?

If you are going to be put to sleep for a procedure then your driver must be at the hospital with you prior to your being put to sleep. There is no way that the hospital will allow you to go home via a transit bus.

Please call the hospital and ask to speak with the patient advocate or social worker or have your doctor do this. They can possibly help you with transportation that is appropriate. Also, sometimes the parish nurses can help.
