Michgoner is on a distinguished road
Default Finally visiting Tri-Cities area !

The wife and I are coming to visit the area . We will be staying in Jonesborough , for about two and a half weeks . We will be arriving the first of April . Our first trip to the area, and want to be looking around and making sure that this is the area we want to settle in . I have been reading the C-D forum , for about a year , and find it to be very informative , answering most of what to expect . We will be halfbacks from Florida . Like most making the move , We want to get away from the mad house mentality , and crazy insurance and property taxes . Origanily from Michigan , so the milder weather changes suits us fine . I am retired , so the job is no issue for me . Looking forward , to be enjoying your area .

I hope you enjoy your trip Michgoner, there will be lots to see and do by April and the spring colors should be in full bloom. Please don't forget to come back to CD and give a trip report as it may help others as well. Us locals like to hear others p.o.v. of our towns too.

We moved to the area from Jacksonville, FL in Sept. of 2007 and love it here.
We live in Leesburg Estates in the Telford area about 4 miles out of Jonesborough. There are still 3 or 4 homes for sale in this area. It is a lovely rural sub-division with homes ranging from 200,000 to 350,000. Good luck in your search.
