Possible job help in Tri-Cities?
Hello everyone!
I've been lurking for a few days now after stumbling on this site. You all seem very helpful, so I figured I'd give my question a shot.
The situation is this: I moved to JC from K'ville about 3 yrs ago. During that time period I earned my masters degree from ETSU. I have been looking for work for over 3 months with no luck and am seriously considering moving back to K'ville to increase my chances. I am looking to go into the field of technical writing/editing. I have checked with large companies (that I know of) such as Eastman, but to no avail. For those of you who have lived in the area a little longer, do you know of any other types of industrial type businesses who may be interested in my skills? I know there are industries in G'ville, Piney Flats, etc. but I don't know the names. Unfortunately the career placement center at ETSU seems to be lacking strong ties to the community (in my field especially) which would aid in the placement of new graduates. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Sorry for the long post.

Greeneville Industries...
Valk
Alltrista Zinc (may have changed it name; it frequently does; may be "Ball" now)
Delfasco
PSI
Argh, there are several more, another one on Snapps Ferry and several down on the 11E towards Mosheim. Forgive me, I just got off work and can't think.
And Bush-Hog in Jonesborough.

Thought of another one in Greeneville. Scott Niswonger's Landair/Forward Air.
Oh! Just had a brain release!
More Greeneville:
Parker
John Deere
SoPakCo
Plus Mark
Angus-Palm
Wal-Mart Distribution Center (not sure if this one's applicable, but.)
You might want to contact the Greene County Partnership (423-638-4111) or Emails (broken link)
