Gym in Johnson City
I am moving to Johnson City from Nashville TN in a few weeks. I am looking for recommendations on gyms. I am a stay at home mom so I have to find a gym with a daycare and a good daycare at that not just a little closet with a few toys in it. I would also like to find a gym with an outdoor pool just in case the neighborhood where we buy ends up not having one. We are looking to buy off of State of Franklin Road behind Cheddars and all that new stuff.
Thanks,
Misty

Tri-Cities Lifestyle Center
Hi, Misty. We moved to Johnson City last summer and I joined the Tri-Cities Lifestyle Center. I also have a little guy at home and there is a drop in daycare right next to the gym. It is not part of the gym, but is a separate business, however, they work in conjunction with the gym. Since it is a drop-in center, the kids can stay there for up to 6 hours in one day or up to 10 hours in one week. If you are going to the gym it is $2.50 / hour. If you are going somewhere else, such as the doctor, it is $6.00 / hour. I have been very happy with it and my toddler has fun. The gym does not have either an indoor or outdoor pool, however I cannot think of anything else it is lacking. Also, it is very close to where you are looking at buying a house. It is near the intersection of State of Franklin and Knob Hill Road. Let me know if you are interested in any more information!

This information is very helpful. Our real estate agent gave me names of two gyms and I know this is one of them.
How do you like the area after one year?
Thanks again,
Misty

We like it! :-)
We like it here! We've been here since August. I grew up and went to college only a couple hours from here and then lived in Indiana for 15 years. My husband is from Indiana. We like it here very well. The hardest thing is figuring out how to find out information...ha, ha! I don't know what I would do without the internet. Mainly for us finding out about children's sports and stuff like that has been a learning curve, but overall we like the area very well. I hope you like it too!

Totally agree, Pacersfan. Seems like events/opportunities in the Tri-Cities are far less publicized than in other areas. Makes it seem like a cultural drain here, but it's not really that bad, just... difficult to find the things going on!
