Favorite Summer Activity
What is everyone's favorite thing to do during the summer in the Tri-Cities?

Well, gardening, really.
But I assume that's not what you meant. <g>
I like the lakeside cinemas at Winged Deer Park (this Thursday, tomorrow, they're showing Water Horse). And the Music on the Square in J'borough on Friday nights.

Sitting in my house listening to the ceiling fans and air conditioning while making very good use of our satellite tv.

Going to Dollywood (not IN the tri-cities but easy drive from) WetLands water park, kids love that. Working in the yard and garden. Going to the fun activities in the streets Thursday through Saturdays all summer long in downtown Kingsport. Flea markets in both Bristol and Jonesborough. Hiking and rock hopping along the local rivers. Going to Jonesborough in the late afternoon and evenings to walk around to all the different local shops. There is a bunch of stuff to do, just depends on your likes and dislikes I guess.

I also like to drive over to Black Mountain and Asheville and cruise the downtowns, in addition to Jonesborough's. There is great fishing and hiking all over the area which is definitely in season at the moment. Oooh, I forgot about Wetlands. I've not been there in years!

Everything sounds great!!! We move in 2 and a half weeks and I'm hoping to not go back to work right away. I just want to take a couple months and check everything out. I bet my kids would love Wetlands. I wanted to go there on vacation but it was way too cold.
