Texas Avenue in Bristol VA
Hey all,
Looks like were are going to be moving into a home on Texas Avenue in Bristol VA... the owner is faxing over a lease. Anyone familiar with this area? The house is a really cute older home I just don't know the area.

I glad you have found a place. I don't know anything about the area, but I'm sure Tennesseestorm will have all that info for you when he/she shows up later this evening. I just wanted to say congratulations.

Thanks... moving is nerve wracking... I was starting to think we were going to be living in our car when we first got up there. It's an older home, beautiful wood floors and it's the perfect size. From what I can find the area seems fine but you never know.

.... and here I am! I do not work to far from Texas Avenue. I do not know of its exact location, but I know its nearby my work, because alot of people come in there with that street address. I work on Euclid Avenue, which is the main road through there. What would you like to know about the area? There are alot of fast foods, supermarket (Food City, which is a very busy store!), Subway, Chinese restaurants, delis, Krystal burger, Kmart, mall, banks and its right off of I-81, and a straight shot to Exit 7 - THE BOOMING part of Bristol!

I know how stressful moving is, and I certainly feel for you. The home you found sounds beautiful to me. That's what we are going to be looking for soon, an older home, beautiful wood floors and it has to be big enough for all of us. I am hoping we can find some land with ours with lots of mature trees. It ought to be pretty easy to find the mature trees over there. Be sure and keep us posted on how things are going for you, and again congratulations on finding your home!!!

Thanks all for the replies but got a call from potential landlord on Sunday.... I had lease in hand and she tells me that she's decided not to rent it... @$#%@#!!!!!... back to the paper.... found a great house in Gray (fingers crossed)... sent sister in law to look at it... she said it is absolutely beautiful and only 1/2 mile from her house. The owner is supposed to decide this week who to rent it to. I hate moving.

How dreadful. I would be livid. Did she give no good explanation?
