Hubby and I went and dined at Russo's in downtown JC with the owners and they shared their newest venue with us. In the Food City strip plaza just off of Roan St. next to the home decorator place, they have opened Russo's over Orleans. It is beautiful! What a great concept! Definitely a first for JC. For right now it is open the last Saturday of the month for music and dancing. They have a chapel for weddings and banquet rooms plus a huge ball room, bar and more fun stuff. I am very excited about this venue. It is new and going to be fun. They are hoping to have dance lessons and everything.
Not open full time yet and right now brown bagging when they are open but maybe this could be fun place for City-Data members to meet up?
What do you all think? July 26th? Music and meets? Maybe even some dancing? hahahahahhaa

I had noticed the sign but wasn't sure what they were doing. Sounds like it would be good for Johnson City. Awwww, July 26th I'll be in Wisconsin at my son's wedding. Y'all have fun!!

Sounds like a fun place. I will have to pass that tip along to friends and family. I will be in Denver then on a business trip but I hope you all have a great time!

Hmm, where is this? Is it at Kroger's, instead of Food City? That's the only strip with a home decorating place (Home Decorator's Warehouse) on Roan that I know of.

At any rate, sounds totally cool! Thanks for passing it along!

You are correct, I am an air head LOL! Yes, I believe it is Kroger. It is the spot where that indoor kid zone, fun place place used to be last year or so ago.
