Hello all,
I saw on the news this morning that the new Ridgeview school will not be complete in time for August 11th, first day of school in Washington Co. My son will be going to that school this year. I called the school board and they told me that students who are attending Ridgeview school will not start until August 25th. The other schools in this area (Daniel Boone, Gray, Boones Creek) will start on August 11th.
Thought y'all would want to know.

Default I saw that online last night...

....I guess I'm not really surprised...the school doesn't really look ready for students. My 7 year old was thrilled of course. I just hope they don't go to far into the spring because cub scout camp is the first week in June.

In general, I wish all the kids went back later in the summer, but it is a little awkward with it just being one school. It sounds like the next two weeks will be a good time to hit the Hands On Museum and Fun Expedition!!

Yes, I wonder why school officials nation-wide decided to open schools so much earlier..?? Labor Day was traditionally the last day of *summer* when I was a kid.. It really seems going back to that schedule would make much more sense - especially with the current fuel crisis..
