Stats will tell you around 11 inches for anywhere in NETN, I believe. The reality is that we've been lucky to get a few inches (3-5) for the past seven years.

....and then it will disappear in a few hours.
But everyone, well a lot, drives and reacts like it is "the big one" hehehehehee
It is not so much the snow, but that there is not enough snow for people to learn how to drive correctly in it and can over correct and make dangerous mistakes. The cities and towns are also not prepared like they are in heavy snow states. We get so little that it doesn't justify keeping a lot of snow plows, salt and sand on hand. Yes, they do treat the roads with a salt solution so it is not too bad.

The local cities have been getting a lot better at pre-treating major roadways with the salt solution in the past few years. This seems to be mostly effective and it doesn't seem to have the same affect on cars as the salt does.

I totaly agree! I noticed this last winter. They were much better about treating the roads than prior years.
