johnson city (to rent, how much, houses)

Hi,
I'm french and i'm moving to JC in august to study at ETSU for 2 years.
Me and my friends want to rent a house (for 5 pers max), but we don't know if it's possible in JC, and how much will be the rent.
We want something around ETSU, but it doesn't have to be very close.
If you can help me with that it will be great. We need to know because we are not renting an appartment on the campus, so we will be homeless when we will arrive there.

Hi, There are actually many houses on what is called "The Tree Streets" near ETSU that has lots of students. They are old houses that have been turned into multy family houses. If I am not mistaken, they rent for about $600 a unit which should be for 4 or 5 people. Call ETSU or check there web site. There should be a classifieds area for off campus living. These houses seem to only be rented by students so I would assume they only advertise at the school?

^I agree with the Tree Streets. Right by campus - you can walk to campus if you had to.
