Default Local Johnson City Restaurants

Does anyone know any local places that are good in JC? I grew up in Greeneville so I'm pretty much just familiar with the local restaurants there (Bean Barn!).

The only one I can think of off the top of my head is the Crazy Tomato, which has great Italian food & is on Princeton Rd.

Thanks

That IS called the Fire House BBQ. It is on Walnut Street on the East side of ETSU. There is also the Red Pig off Roan ST and Sun Set Drive. That is a good place for lunch. We also have the normal Chains: Red Lobster, Johny Corrinos (one of my favorites) Lonestar, Outback, Cheddars, Chilies, Olive Garden, Carrabba's, etc. As for local places, there is something called Smokie Joes (haven't been there yet) Bailie's, which is more of a sports bar, but good food too.) Hemingway's (casual dinning), Johny Brusco's (pizza/Italian) Giuseppe's (New Italian place just opened up in Boone's Creek) Peerless (fine dinning) Stir fry and Sushi Blues (those are both night club types on the weekends also). Cootie Browns, and The House of Ribs. There are also about 8 or 10 Mexican places and the same or more of Chinese places.
As for family buffet type, there is Golden Corral, and Ryan's as far as chains.
I'm sure there is more, just all I can think of right now hahahahhaha.
