I didn't realize you could go up in the fire tower....
Do you remember how long of a hike from parking lot to the fire tower was? I would like to get some pics too.

Depending on your pace, the hike to the tower from the parking lot will probably take 40-50 minutes. I've made it in 35 min. before but I tend to walk much faster than most. FWIW, on a really clear day up there you can see peaks in 4 states (TN, NC, VA & WV).
Glad you made it up to the tower on such a gorgeous day, JoshB! Thanks for the pics, looks like there's some very nice color there right now.

Great pictures, Josh! Glad you are enjoying your trip and having great weather. You missed a cold snap here so good time to be gone although it is supposed to be a little warmer by Thurs./Fri.!
