MBMouse, I have not been on this site in a while and was just reading your response here. It is funny how we have lived in a few of the same placess. I am originally from Milford Connecticut. Moved to Florida in the 70's with my parents. (Jupiter, right next to Tequesta). I now live in Port St. Lucie and have been a Tequesta Police Officer for 21 years.

My wife and I bought property near Baileyton a few years ago and are considering moving there in a few years when I retire.

LOL! Very small world. Jupiter is where I lived in FL, it was TNorBust that lived in Tequesta.
You will be officially labeled as a "half backer" when you get here, wear it with honor. It means you survived and have arived...finaly hahahhaha.
My folks lived in Port. St Lucie (CRAZY busy place now!) moved to Rogersville, just North west of Baileyton, in 2001 and now my brother who is in Fort Pierce is moving here to the Tri-Cities in the next few months because he loves it here too.
Just remember to slow down, smell the flowers, enjoy the life and people here for what it is and who they are and you will love it just as much as my family has. When you come up, let me know, we'll have to do coffee and swap stories. Who knows, we may know some of the same people, I knew a Tequesta police officer (Or was he Jupiter, now I can't remember) but good guy and neighbor and I have a friend who is a motorcycle officer in Juno Beach. I didn't know many people from Millford, but wouldn't it be funny if we had some friends/acquaintances in common?
