Any homebrewers?
A new store, Epicurean Outpost, opened a few weeks ago in Johnson City that sells homebrewing supplies along with cheesemaking and winemaking supplies. I think the next closest place with a good selection of brewing supplies is in Asheville, and NO ONE else has cheese supplies!

Hm, that sounds cool. Where is it?
While we're on the subject, I noticed a new sign that read "Mediterranean Market" in the Paul's Mall strip mart across the road from Target/the bank tower. Anybody been there?

Yea!
Glad to hear it, as a home winemaker of some years experience, being iin theTri-Cities is somewhat frustrating:
Lots of good , reasonably priced fruits and vegetables, but - expensive mail order for equipment.
Really, it is a shame we don't have more wineries (grape or other fruit) in the area. The Tri-cities blueberry and blackberry crops alone make for some great wines! Maybe this is a sign things will change for the better.

My husband just brewed his first batch of beer. Will be trying it on Saturday! Thanks for the input on the new store - will be checking it out soon.

Exileinsc, my dad makes lots of wine and he picks up his supplies at some store up towards Grey or Boones Creek, not sure. So if there's something you can't find at this new store, lmk and I'll ask my father where he get goes to.
