utvols21 is on a distinguished road
really i didnt know Backyard burgers had closed in JC too. I liked that place but was never on that end of town when i was in JC often. I did eat at the one in KPT quite frequently

I'd also like to have a "Smashburgers" or an "In & Out".

I love me a good bacon cheese burger.

I don't know if anyone has been to Burgeritos on the Bristol HWY in JC (old Wendy's building), but I got a burger there with mexican style cheese dip on it. Good flavor profile. However, their curly fries look and taste like they came from the Walmart freezer section. I hope the improve their concept because it has promise.

I haven't been there but we had it delivered (via JC Room Service) once. Not bad stuff. Not sure if it's worth a drive all the way out the Bristol Hwy (for me, anyway), but...
