? about Bristol HWY development??? (appointed, movers, condos)

Just being nosy, anyone have a clue as to the purpose of the massive earth moving in the location of the map linked above?

Thoughts going through my head are: Large church? Another car lot - surely not? Condos? Driving Range - wishful thinking?

I think someone told me it was going to be a shopping complex.

It's hard to tell from your map exactly where that is on the Bristol Highway. Is it on the left right past TN Rent-Alls? I think that's a massive condo development...

I was wondering the same thing. If it's the same area I think it is, I doubt it's a church since Mountain View Baptist sits right next to it. Unless they're expanding, but that would be a huge expansion!

Well, if your going from Bristol to JC, it is off to your right. You would pass Winged Deer, then that large church, then there is the development I am wondering about (about 50 yds off the highway). Earthmovers, large machinery, etc - the place is getting pretty flat now. I can't imagine what would be going there in this economy, but it looks perfect for a driving range though.

I'm being particularly nosy because if it were something interesting, I could walk there in 5 minutes.

If it is condos or a car lot, I would be very disappointed. Next time I see them working on it, I may have to inquire. It's killing me.

Via public records, I have learned the following...

The property in question is located between 4001 & 4005 on the Bristol HWY. Owned and perhaps recently sold by a SELL HEYWARD. Unless recently changed, it is classified as AGRICULTURAL with almost 25 total acres.
