Default Johnson City buying Gray farm for probable park site
Keeland Farms in Gray appears likely to become a Johnson City park in the not-too-distant future.

During Thursday night’s Johnson City Commission meeting, the commission approved entering into negotiations to purchase more than 50 acres of the Keefauver family farm in Gray for future use as a park, a school campus or both.

FWIW, the property is located at the intersection of Hales Chapel Rd. and Shadden Rd., about one mile NNW of the Ridges.

Cool. Why can't they take one of the old buildings around the downtown connector and rehab it into a senior's center? Develop a greenbelt around it... that with the Chamber would be a great asset to the infill area...
