I tend to think the server was wrong. Why would RT close the busy JC location?

However if it were to close a Macados should replace it. Which you should read about here Macado's Ahead of Schedule | TriCities (http://www.tricities.com/tri/news/local/article/macados_ahead_of_schedule/13685/ - broken link) and here Home Page (http://www.macados.net/Awards.htm - broken link)

I'm so jealous Bristol is getting one.

Yeah, that makes absolutely no sense. It's a busy location so both the mall admin and RT corporate should want it there. ???

The Ruy Tuesday on Franklin is never really busy, seems like. Even on Friday nights and the like, I can go in or drive by and there's only a few people there.

I want Macado's. In downtown JC! Boo.

I have never seen the Ruby Tuesdays near campus crowded. . .ever. Even when ETSU had events going on (basketball, awards, etc), it has never been that busy. . . . which is weird, but getting in and out of there is bad. Or at least it used to be.

Depends on the time of day. When university's in session, you might as well forget turning left in the morning or from 3-5.

Im almost certain that Ruby Tuesdays is indeed closing and Macados is taking its place. I personally think that Ruby Tuesday is a better fit for a mall setting (especially for that particular part of the mall), but thats just me. Macados just seems like a standalone place to me.

How do you know that? And why Macado's? I haven't seen any mention of that anywhere.

A tough time across the board for restaurants--and many chains are suffering. Bennigan's went out of business and I know of several Applebees and Chili's that have closed here in the southwest CT region. A lot of chains in general will probably shutter the least-profitable stores.
Tough times in 09. But I think a growing area such as JC should be able to replace the restaurant reasonably quickly.
