I saw a mountain lion (For Sure) while floating down the holston river in Church Hill (Hawkins county). As far as bears go I know someone who lives on mountain view rd. 5 min. from church hill and they have seen some big ones. In bays mountain park the park officials said there are at least a dozen black bears that they know of. I was driving on 11w just before mt. carmel coming from church hill last summer and a small bear ran right out in front of me and about 6 cars.

Cool Bobcat And Cougar In Aedc, Franklin County

My Husband And I Drive Through Aedc Often. We Have Seen A Bobcat, Turkeys, And Lot's Of Deer. One Time My Husband Was Driving Through Aedc And A Big Cat He Thinks Was A Cougar Ran Across The Road In Front Of Him Another Driver Behind Him Also Saw The Cougar. The Cougar Sighting Was In The Fall Of 2007 And The Bobcat Sighting Was Jan, 08. On February 10, O8 He Saw A Big Wolf Reddish And Gray Over 100lbs In Franklin County Near Aedc Running Across A Field At Full Tilt Into The Woods. Has Any One Else In This Area Seen Anything? Is Some One Letting Loose Some Of These Animals?

A few weeks ago, I almost ran off the road because several wild turkeys were congregating in the middle of Sugar Hollow Road just over the top of a hill.

My daughter has seen coyotes on our property, and we see flocks of wild turkey frequently. But one night hubby was brush hogging on the high meadows at dusk and saw a pair of yellow eyes looking back at him from the woods. Wasn't a deer. Either a coyote or a young bear. He said it was black, which made him think it might be a bear. Just so ole Bigfoot doesn't make an appearance, we're all good with the critters.
