This was taken near Sweetwater. I know it isn't NE TN but it shares similar beauty. I took it today.

Those pictures make me so sad.  The Smokies are not in good shape and there are very few people who want to do anything about it. The Frasier Firs etc. are just the icing on the cake.

Bailey that is SO WEIRD. I went to Asheville today, and we stopped at that same overlook b/c we have a friend in from Hawaii. What time were you there?

We were there around 7-8 p.m. right before it got dark- only other people there were an Indian family, lanky tall college age kid, and a woman with a Yorkie. Would have been neat to run into you!
