Mark, I'm very glad to see you've joined us! I've referenced your blog a few times on here because you do such an extraordinary job of capturing this area's stunning beauty -- through both your photos and your words -- and introducing others to little-known spots. I've "discovered" several hidden gems thanks to you!

This was taken near Sweetwater. I know it isn't NE TN but it shares similar beauty. I took it today.

Those pictures make me so sad. The Smokies are not in good shape and there are very few people who want to do anything about it. The Frasier Firs etc. are just the icing on the cake.

Default Blountville to Gray

Last week I had to be in Bristol, on the way back, realized I had the camera in the car and my son was driving so I snapped some of the sites you would see from just south of Bristol to Gray. Now these are not near as "picturesque" as Kamoshika or Josh posted for sure, but will give anyone an idea of what driving around in this part of the Tri-Cities will see on a daily commute or just driving around views from a car. Hope you enjoy.

Part of the Bristol Flea Market. There are about 4 more buildings that I couldn't get a good picture of from the road while driving by.

The new Food City in Piney Flats

A nursery in Piney Flats

Heading into JC, looking at Buffalo Mountain.

The new playground at Boone Lake, Winged Deer park portion on the lake.

The new fire house just built by Winged Deer Park.

11E beginning of commercial JC

Views from Hwy 26, JC to Gray

26 from the Gray overpass.

I get to see this view every time I leave home, it is one of my favorites and I look forward to it every day. I did make my son stop here so I could get a few good shots of it from a few angles.

We were there around 7-8 p.m. right before it got dark- only other people there were an Indian family, lanky tall college age kid, and a woman with a Yorkie. Would have been neat to run into you!
