Bailey.
I was on that road in Feb. for the first time in my life. My drive was at sunset, however I was in a hurry to get to Asheville and could not stop to take any pix. Your photos show me the beauty I could not see at night. Would love to see some twilight shots there if any one has some, the sun setting in the mountains there was awesome.

Great pix, Bailey. Have never walked up the overlook; it's great up there! Looks almost... Switzerland-ish.

I love both the views from I-26 and the Asheville Hwy in Greene Co. towards Madison County.

Default Kingsport

Well, it was a beautiful day in Kingsport, had the camera and wanted to get out of the office for a few and take a walk, so combined the two! Here are some updated pictures of a little bit of Kingsport.

Headed down to Broad St on E.Center.

Zoomed in on the old train station at the Main St end of Broad

Headed towards Church Circle on Broad

Walking towards the Kingsport Library

Looking back down Broad from Library traffic circle.

Glenn Park on the side of the Library

Side of the Library

Looking at Regions from in Glenn Park

Headed over to Shelby St.

Headed back along the other side of the Library

Headed down Commerce

I love the mural on WTFM's back wall!

Back up E. Center St.

Nice pics! What are the trees with white blossoms? Ornamental Pear? I have a few that look like that (smaller) but they won't bloom here in NY for at least another 5-6 weeks. One more reason to move to TN asap: a longer growing season!!!

Yes, here they are called Bradford Pears, but I believe it is the same tree you are referring too. I went out hunting one of the pick Cherry or Saucer magnolias that are now in bloom too, but didn't see any while my camera was in hand.

Thank you to all of you who took and posted these lovely photos. My husband and I have planned a vacation to Tennessee for next month (April) and I can't tell you how eager I am to see all that beauty!! My father was born & raised in NE TN, but left as a young adult. We drove through there a few times when I was a child and I have vague memories of houses on mountains and very nice people. I am absolutely counting the days until we get there and begin our Tennessee Adventure!!

Default Tnx for sharing

Wow -- some great photos. I feel like jumping in my truck and driving right up (from Daytona). We've been to your area 3 times and love it more each time.

After my walk in the Washington College part of western Washington Co. this afternoon, I'd like to retract my previous comments about the area south of Jonesborough being a bit less scenic than the area north of Jonesborough. While these pics don't do the scenery proper justice, this is one beautiful place.

Salem Presbyterian Church, est. 1780 on the campus of Martin Academy (now Washington College Academy). All the windows in the current building are stained glass.

WCA's Harris Hall was built in 1842:
