Johnson City vs Maryville vs Fayetteville?
I am considering job opportunities in JC, Maryville, or Fayetteville. Currently live in upstate NY, way out in the country on a 50 acre mini farm with horses and donkeys. Nearest city is Syracuse, about 40 minutes away. The wife grew up on a farm, so we're used to country life and enjoy the outdoors. We think TN offers that same laid-back lifestyle, but in an area that doesn't have snow 5 months a year. ( We've had about 200" already this year, snow on the ground since Halloween!) We would love to hear input from people who are from the area about relocating there, home costs, climate, bugs, etc. We are in our late 40's, so downsizing...not sure if we'll be able to afford a place with acreage, so the animals may not come with us?! Thanks for your help!
