Need help from ROAN MTN LOCALS; Wish to visit my olde granfather (RIP) and grand uncles (RIP) places in Roan area but don't know the locations. Have not been there since about 1964. Uncle had an olden tyme real log structure that stradled a rushing creek and was an SDA religious author. Gramps had a small farm that stradled a one lane dirt road, he tended cherry trees etc, he was an SDA evangelist. The park boundary was atop a ridge above the property, there was also a large rock onsite with a footprint embedded within. So there you have it; anybody recognize a cabin over a creek, cherry tree grove or big rock with footprint? LOL. Fat chance I guess, but thanks for any clues you may have....
