Oh yeah, how could I forget. Wok and Hibachi has a bit of Thai and other asian dishes besides Teppenyaki style Japanese cooking. It's a good place.
One of the best local Mexican places back where I'm from is run by east Indian folks and the food is very good.
I'll have to check out the Mexican place in Piney Flats but so far many of the places I have been told were good weren't even as good as opening cans of refried beans and heating up frozen burritos from the grocery store.

You have to go to real Mexican places to get good Mexican, not "La Tortilla" or "El Nacho."

La Perla is excellent in Greeneville; I think I saw one oddly in Johnson City too somewhere... in a random place like Walnut St. or something. They are markets/costeñas as well.

Cancún is good (also in Greeneville), but a bit different - I think they're from a different area of Mexico than most of the rest of the Mexicans that live here. Lots of veggies and sauces but not a lot of beans (thank god).

For the real deal, you can't beat Volcano Bakery on Market, though. I think "Real Deal" is actually on their sign. Or maybe it's Real McCoy. Either way.... mmmmm.
