I would LOVE to have Olive Garden in Kingsport, now I can have the soup/salad/bread sticks for lunch when I am at the office, yum!

Kport keeps catchin' up with the rest of the world! LOL
That's good news! People won't have a reason to travel to JC very soon. Maybe only for the bar scene over there.
Anyone know how the Ft Henry Mall redevelopment is coming along?

Yes, more "boil in bag" food from a chain is what we all need. Congrats Kingsport.

Oh how funny!
Naturally they would not be coming to Bristol.

I kind of agree with you, ljay. Of course, there are many people who judge a city based on how it reflects other cities (kind of monotonous, yes). Olive Garden can only help Kingsport, in tax base, jobs created, and image.

True Jab - I'm all for job creation and a stable tax base for this area and I certainly support the efforts of people who work hard to bring any company here. My comment was not a knock on any of that.
But, when Olive Garden becomes the litmus test for growth or success in a city, can Armageddon be far behind ;-)

Hahaha, yeah, true. I'd prefer Kingsport to get Alta Cucina, which is really good and, even more important, indie!

Hey...
What's wrong with boil in a bag food , anyway ??? LOL.
I love Olive Garden.
YAY !!!!!
Of course the people around here are so bored for something to do....
The place will be so crowded that I won't be able to get NEAR it for about a year. Every new restaurant that opens here is like that, but I guess it's like that everywhere.

Personally, all the food I eat I boil in a bag. Or put in the microwave.
