jazz in the tri-city region

There is one radio station that occasionally plays jazz. Outside of that you wouldn't know that jazz exists in this area. When I lived in the Philadelphia PA area there were several smooth jazz stations and if I remember correctly one was WJJZ. Nothing remotely close to that anywhere I have been in TN, NC, or SC. I used to subscribe to Sirius radio but that got somewhat expensive. Now I listen to internet radio and that has plenty of smooth jazz stations.
BTW, I have moved several times since I have been in the south and I have collected almost 2G of smooth jazz for free by going to public libraries that had music cds and ripping the music I wanted. I have enough smooth jazz tracks to drive coast to coast and not hear the same song twice. One reason I mention this is that while the south seems devoid of jazz/smooth jazz I have found cds at local libraries that fall into that genre. This indicates to me there are jazz/smooth jazz lovers who go unrecognized by the local media. I believe the media here is missing a vast listening audience.
