Be careful, all! Contrary to popular belief, mountains or not, tornados will still come down from the sky. In our mountainous area of northeast PA, we've had several F-2 tornados.

When I was a teenager living in Church Hill in the late 80s, there was a tornado that ripped through Kingsport's East Stone Drive, and tore off part of the once "Old Mall" area. I know Montgomery Ward's (when it was there) had some damage. There was some nasty wind and some roofs were blown off also.
Tornadoes are rather scarce in East Tennessee but can happen.

Well, it cleared up nice after that storm, but it started raining here again around 1:30 and still pouring here. Looks like we are the only place in the area with rain now. lol.

Thankfully the storms were not too severe here.

Nope, no rain here at all tonight after the front. How odd that Bristol's getting rain?

It was mostly just windy here with some pretty intense lightning and thunder. I was outside to smoke and boy was it coming down! Didn't stop people from coming in to shop though. Target shoppers are like the post office - rain, shine, sleet, hell returneth...

I know, it was odd. I looked at the radar and it was a big blob of rain right over Bristol and most of Sullivan County, but that was it.
