looking for grace in johnson city (Kingsport, Bristol: live, law, land)

i'm looking for a RADICAL grace-based teaching church. does anyone know if one exists within 50 mile area?

Sorry, not sure what a radical grace-based church is. Is that a denomination?

Good Morning! I've been reading for months now, but never signed on until today. I'm not sure what a radical Grace-based church is , but I do know what a spirit filled church is and my family is part of one. It's Snow Memorial Baptist Church on Knob Creek Rd. just up from Mahoney's. We are small, but mighty with the Lord. Our pastor, Rusty Wishon is a mighty warrior for the Lord, a retired Naval Officer, he has been there and done it and shares the joy of know God's prevailing Grace everyday. When someone tells you they are praying for you- Man believe it. My life and my husband's life have been changed because of the Believer's in this little church. Come join us and see God workin' in action in the lives of sinners like me. All are WELCOME!!!

I do believe it!! Rusty was our minister for about 7-8 yrs and built up a small church so much, that we had to have 2 morning services. He is someone that can hold your attention and isn't afraid to tell it like it is. He was a commander of a nuclear submarine in the Navy, and he will be the first to tell you that he was a lost man until God called him and changed him forever. We just love him and his wife Jan and dearly miss them both.

If you are referring to the Doctrines of Grace theology that has been abandoned by most churches during the last 100 years in favor of Arminianism, I recommend Midway Presbyterian Church on the old highway between Johnson City and Jonesborough. As of three years ago, they still adhered to the teachings of the denomination's founding father, John Calvin.

As far as I know, the only other church in your area that still holds these beliefs is New Testament Baptist Church on Bethel Drive near Bristol Speedway.

Wasn't there a church in Kingsport where the pastor was bitten by a snake he was handling...probably 4 years ago...? I think he died. (thats not an actual picture of the pastor)
