Default Elementary Schools in Greeneville

My husband is interviewing for a job in Greeneville at the end of June. We have two children, ages 5 and 7. My seven year old is academically gifted. Can anyone give some details/recommendations about elementary schools in the area? I see that Greeneville City schools are different from Greene County schools. We are coming from Louisiana, so our standards aren't incredibly high. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I would avoid Greene County Schools (being a product of them). Highland Elementary and Tusculum View are the two I would suggest in the City.

If you must do county then I would hit Doak or Chuckey but, really, both leave A LOT to be desired.

I will second what Jabogitlu said. I had my boys in McDonald School (a way far out, rural county school) and it was good, but my youngest is gifted and it was very lacking for him.
